Chateau Vray Croix de Gay gets its name from the name of the cross that adjoins the vineyard and that used to guide the Way of Saint James pilgrims. The 2015 vintage is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, from a vineyard of 3.67 hectares in the heart of the Pomerol appellation (where Merlot remains the main grape variety). This excellent 2015 vintage wine exhibits a dark, almost black-tinted deep red colour. The fine and spicy nose exhales mocha, plum, black cherry and lavender notes. This fine and serious wine offer ripe tannins. The palate is fruity with nut, plum, chocolate, and orange peel notes. The 2015 Vray Croix de Gay is a promising Pomerol wine.The wine displays a deep purple-ruby color. The rich nose reveals black fruits, truffles, and violets. The palate offers plum, soy, currant, black cherry, as well as a few empyreumatic notes. The corpulent and fruity style of this vintage suggests outstanding aging potential.
