The Chateau Lascombes Margaux 2013 is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot and 5% Merlot cropped at 25hl/ha between 26 September and 12 October. It has a slightly pinched nose that will hopefully gain more vigour by the time of bottling. At the moment if feels too strict. The palate is medium-bodied with firm grippy tannins, but it is lacking fruit intensity and fleshiness towards the finish. Tasted April 2014.
